Glorious Mysteries continued Fourth Glorious Mystery—Assumption of Mary: Taken up into heaven, body and soul, Mary’s assumption reveals God’s will that we, too, will enjoy eternal life. Let us pray that we keep our eyes fixed on our call to holiness. Fifth Glorious Mystery—Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth: A sign appeared—a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars. We pray that those in ministry look to Mary as their model in serving God and others. Contemplate Each of the Luminous Mysteries. Follow each meditation by First Luminous Mystery—Baptism of the Lord: The Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove, descended, and God announced that Jesus is His beloved Son. The Holy Spirit remains constantly with us as we struggle, grow, and discern. Second Luminous Mystery—Wedding Feast at Cana: Jesus transformed water into wine. So, too, He transforms the lives of the faithful. Third Luminous Mystery—Proclamation of the Coming of God’s Kingdom: Priests are called to be instruments of God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness through Word and Sacrament. We pray for them. Fourth Luminous Mystery—The Transfiguration: Peter, James, and John glimpsed Jesus in His glory as the voice of God reminded them to listen to His Son. In prayer, we approach God in praise, gratitude, need, and openness. Fifth Luminous Mystery—Institution of the Eucharist: Jesus is the bread of life. We gather around the Eucharistic table, knowing that everyone has a place in God’s plan. Adapted from Pray Therefore the Lord
