Prayer
Lord, to You we offer thanks and praise for Your presence in this
bread, Your sacred body broken in love for us.
Through the worship of this Holy Eucharist, we ask for the strength
and grace to respond positively to the vocations for which God
created us. We remember Your suffering and death. We pray that
the members of this faith community will grow in faith and love
here on Earth, participating in the plan of salvation.
These things we pray in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy
Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Prayer
Thank You, Lord,
for the knowledge You impart
and the mystery that requires faith
in lieu of understanding
as we gather in Your Holy presence.
You call each of us by name,
to serve actively,
listen prayerfully,
and respond fully to Your call.
In your earthly ministry, Lord,
You lived a counter-cultural life
that got people thinking
and living differently.
Please bless each step I take,
whether running joyfully
or walking hesitantly,
as I try to follow You.
