The Schulien award, inaugurated in
1977, is named for a longtime professor
of systematic theology at Saint Francis
Seminary.
The award recipient
is chosen based on his integration
of theological studies, pastoral
experiences, and spirituality in
seminary and parish life; commitment
to the Church and its mission, to
justice, and service; and leadership,
academic excellence, and ability
to effectively communicate the Gospel.
