A Fond Temporary
Farewell to our Off Campus Seminarians
The cameras began flashing in August as
the Vocations Office began preparation for
the 2007-2008 seminarian poster. We gathered
many of the seminarians studying off campus
this year for a great group shot. As they
travel the world gathering knowledge, our
prayers go with them and we look forward
to their return!

House
of Discernment for Men
The Vocations Office continues to explore the
establishment of a house of discernment for men.
The vision of St. Joseph House is to have a multicultural
house of discernment that would serve as a resource
of preparation for ministerial formation within
the Archdiocese of Milwaukee by strengthening
the vocational commitment of men who choose to
explore the calling of priesthood in a communal
setting. The house would nurture men of the Archdiocese
of Milwaukee who express interest in parish priesthood
by: enriching spiritual life, exploring academic
abilities, integrating pastoral experience and
deepening awareness of multicultural issues. For
more information, read the St.
Joseph House Case Statement.

How Do I Know?
The Vocation Ministers of the MIlwaukee Archdiocese
(VMMA) launched their first Theology on Tap type event on
- August 16, 2006 - The vocations evening was entitled "How
Do I Know?" and was held at Derry Hegarty's Pub on
53rd and Bluemound Road in Milwaukee. Jeff Montoya, vice
president of VMMA said feedback received from local Theology
on Tap gatherings, as well as national input, showed young
adults felt the method and style of these sessions were
very positive. It was a natural step, then, to focus on
vocations. To read more about this event, check out the
recent Milwaukee
Catholic Herald Article.
