Pray 
Pray for vocations.
Pray for men and women in discernment,
in formation for priesthood or
religious life, and for all who
support them in any way. Initiate
such prayers in your family and
at church meetings you attend,
and most certainly include these
prayers in the petitions in your
heart at Mass.
We have now made available on our web site, our Days
of Prayer and Devotions for Vocations Book. Please feel
free to use it as a resource for prayers and devotions.

Provide encouragement to priests. Even small gestures,
such as a compliment on a homily, are meaningful.
When negative issues hit the press, look for facts
on both sides of the story. When discussing issues,
differentiate between information and editorializing,
fact and personal opinion.
Encourage your parish to provide opportunities for
significant youth involvement. For example, do your
parish council and other committees have youth representatives?
Involvement is a stepping stone toward vocational discernment.
