I see myself as a kind, humble, responsible person, who enjoys socializing and who is ready to learn.
Tell us your vocations story:
Since I was a child, I have experienced the desire to become a priest and serve God in the ministry of His Son, Jesus Christ. During my school years, I was involved at my parish in different ministries, serving in various groups which helped me reaffirm my call to priesthood. When I finished high school, I wanted to enter a seminary, but I was advised against it because I was too young. This advise led me to go to college and study philosophy which was an important time for me to discern the call to priesthood. When I finished college, I was contacted by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to continue my process of discernment with them.
What is the greatest challenge facing a man considering the seminary?
One of the greatest challenges in answering God's call appropriately to serve as one of His priests is a world where religion has become irrelevant for many people.
What is your favorite psalm verse and why?
"But the Lord answered me, Do not say, "I am too young." "To whomever I send you, you shall go; whatever I command you, you shall speak." (Ps. Jeremiah 1:7) I like this psalm because it reflects the call to priesthood during my youth and God's promise to be with me through this wonderful journey wherever He calls me to be, with the assistance of his providential love.
What are your favorite activities outside of the seminary?
Hanging out with my friends, having dinner with them, meeting new people and knowing new places.
Where do you like to go to pray?
In the chapel, for I think it is the most appropiate place to pray and I feel comfortable there.
Where do you do your best studying?
In the library or in a place where nature is the background.
Which saint should people ask to intercede for your vocation?
I am very devoted to the Mother of God, for she is the greatest intercessor before God, through her Son, Jesus Christ. She said that priests are her beloved children and I want to be one of those loved ones; that's why I ask for her intercession.
