St. Andrew Dinner | Tuesday, December 29, 2020 | 5:00 p.m.
Saint Francis de Sales Seminary
Hosted by Fr. Luke Strand and Fr. John Burns
In an effort to encourage priestly vocations within the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, the Vocation Office will host a St. Andrew Dinner at Saint Francis de Sales Seminary. A St. Andrew Dinner gives priests an opportunity to invite young men (high school age or older) who think they have the qualities needed to be a good priest. This dinner will include seminarians and other priests. The young men who are invited will have a chance to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere, learn more about life as a priest and hear vocation stories. Fr. Luke Strand, Vocation Director, and Fr. John Burns, Vocation Promoter, will also be present to interact, support and encourage the young men to follow the Lord's call.
A St. Andrew Dinner is named after St. Andrew, who in the Gospel according to John, brought his brother, Simon Peter to meet Jesus. The evening will include Mass, dinner, discussion and witness talks to the priesthood from seminarians. Individual dinners will be provided and social distancing protocol will be adhered to.
This year men currently in high school will be invited to a pre-event discussion about College Seminary beginning at 3pm. An additional opportunity will also be available to young adult men aged 18 and older to attend a Come and See event following the dinner, including an overnight stay and participating in seminary life.
Reserve your space by contacting Emma Hegarty at email@example.com or 414.747.6437. If you are under the age of 18, please have your parents fill out and scan the downloadable permission form and return via email, or mail to:
