St. Andrew Dinner | Tuesday, December 29, 2020 | 5:00 p.m.
Saint Francis de Sales Seminary
Hosted by Fr. Luke Strand and Fr. John Burns
In an effort to encourage priestly vocations within the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, the Vocation Office will host a St. Andrew Dinner at Saint Francis de Sales Seminary. A St. Andrew Dinner gives priests an opportunity to invite young men (high school age or older) who think they have the qualities needed to be a good priest. This dinner will include seminarians and other priests. The young men who are invited will have a chance to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere, learn more about life as a priest and hear vocation stories. Fr. Luke Strand, Vocation Director, and Fr. John Burns, Vocation Promoter, will also be present to interact, support and encourage the young men to follow the Lord's call.
A St. Andrew Dinner is named after St. Andrew, who in the Gospel according to John, brought his brother, Simon Peter to meet Jesus. The evening will include Mass, dinner, discussion and witness talks to the priesthood from seminarians. Individual dinners will be provided and social distancing protocol will be adhered to.
The pre-event discussion about College Seminary and post-event Come and See for young adults have both been cancelled.
Reserve your space by contacting Emma Hegarty at firstname.lastname@example.org or 414.747.6437. Registration closes on Monday, December 21 and no late registrations will be accepted due to Covid protocol. If you are under the age of 18, please have your parents fill out and scan the downloadable permission form and return via email, or mail to:
